studying piano with Rudolf am Bach, Hubert Harry, Christoph Eschenbach
and Irwin Gage,
|
|
Roland Raphael
concluded his formal training with a degree as a soloist in 1985.
He is also qualified
|
|
to teach clarinet
and has received numerous professional awards.He is a faculty member
at the Zurich
|
|
Conservatory and has performed as a soloist with various orchestras, such as the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra,
|
|
the
Zurich Opera, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Bern Symphony, and
the Vienna Strings in Salzburg.
|
|
In
addition to chamber music engagements at the Schleswig-Holstein
Music Festival, he has had several
|
|
successful
tours in Japan. As a soloist, he has appeard in productions for
several European television
|
|
stations and
has released over 20 CDs. In 1996, he debuted his own "piano lights" concept,
|
|
which he has
performed at the Palais des Congres and Salle Gaveau in Paris.

|
| Since 1987, Roland Raphael has been in charge of many musical productions. He is particularly interested |
|
| in innovative, multimedia projects such as concerts accompanied by light shows, text, or ballet. |
